- Have heard about racism from senior management
- Sexism from senior management
- Nepotism from the CEO
- Bullying is rife in head office
- Bullying gets reported but HR does nothing
- CEO likes to portray himself as a family man and that he cares about his employers. Beware that this is an act and he only cares about profits and the company.
- CEO is out of touch, irrelevant and stuck in his old ways which will not save the dying brand. I truly believe the brand will not survive under him.
- Profit over anything attitude.
- A history of making people redundant, not positions (nepotism and favouritism).
- The company is run by stuffy old white men.
- No women or POC in any head of department or director positions. They have had women in the past who are quickly fired within a few months.
- They hide the real performance of the business from the employees (even before going private). It is kept secret and glossed over.
- Opening new stores/ renovating stores in the middle of a pandemic while making people redundant.
- Seem to have bad money management and make poor company decisions.
- Zero benefits outside of salary. As soon as the pandemic hit they made everyone sign new contracts saying they are no longer entitled to sick pay.
- Have made over half the company redundant but this hasn't been reported on.
A lot of these points reference the pandemic, but in normal times it is still a toxic place to work. Do not work here!!
