Pros

It must be said the staff discount is excellent and that really is the only positive about this company the coffees not bad

Cons

I worked at the Head office for 2 years and it really is the most unfriendly place. There is no communication at all. No appreciation for any thing you do. The pay is below what other company's pay for the same job hence there is a high turnover of staff . it truly is a sad place. working here is like the living dead a completely lifeless place, so glad to be out of there.

Pros

Good small teams A job is a job isn't it Discounts is decent You learn a thing or two about tailoring Some customers have got me gifts which was nice Van drivers are some of the most pleasant people you will meet in this company

Cons

Ah my favourite part. I'm not gonna hold back here lol If you are incompetent you can be assured you will be promoted Head Office have highly pretentious staff with zero people skills Hire orders always going wrong Always understaffed No manager bonus for hitting targets Lack of appropriate funding to run a store Regional Managers are only KPI driven A lot of internal problems within the company Brian Brick is one of the most conniving people you will ever meet. Known to be a back stabber HR ignore all requests Pay is pathetic A lot of stress No work life balance Computer systems from the 90s are being used

Pros

Freedom and left to get on with your work. Lovely people in most teams, that deserve a better environment.

Cons

- Have heard about racism from senior management - Sexism from senior management - Nepotism from the CEO - Bullying is rife in head office - Bullying gets reported but HR does nothing - CEO likes to portray himself as a family man and that he cares about his employers. Beware that this is an act and he only cares about profits and the company. - CEO is out of touch, irrelevant and stuck in his old ways which will not save the dying brand. I truly believe the brand will not survive under him. - Profit over anything attitude. - A history of making people redundant, not positions (nepotism and favouritism). - The company is run by stuffy old white men. - No women or POC in any head of department or director positions. They have had women in the past who are quickly fired within a few months. - They hide the real performance of the business from the employees (even before going private). It is kept secret and glossed over. - Opening new stores/ renovating stores in the middle of a pandemic while making people redundant. - Seem to have bad money management and make poor company decisions. - Zero benefits outside of salary. As soon as the pandemic hit they made everyone sign new contracts saying they are no longer entitled to sick pay. - Have made over half the company redundant but this hasn't been reported on. A lot of these points reference the pandemic, but in normal times it is still a toxic place to work. Do not work here!!
