Pros

The Movement Mission is anti racism within the educational system. Lots of training and access for new teachers.

Cons

Workload was extremely high. Multiple professors of mine in my certification program, as well as Teach for America informed me of how ridiculous the workload was for teachers in comparison to administrators. School is heavy on data and there are weekly observations by superintendent and CEO. I worked 10-11 hour days with my overtime unpaid, and also came into work a lot on weekends to prepare for the week. I also worked a lot at home, often spending hours at night completing my lessons. Not worth the workload for the pay.

Pros

Great Pay and the goals and mission of the company are awesome.

Cons

Administration cares more about adult culture than actually teaching the children, lack of support. Administration are ego driven and care more about their title than the teachers or students. Judgmental administration and very unprofessional.

Pros

The teachers, the staff, and kids.

Cons

Administration steals curriculum from a charter school they use to work at AF schools, cancel school for convenience No work life balance Communication sucks, unrealistic deadlines, no accountability for students who disrespect the staff, no real restorative practices for kids because no one has been trained, over worked and under paid, this school is suppose to pay more than Cms they don’t.. IA teachers are expected to do work that is beneath what they should get paid, kicked a student out for a parents poor choices, everyone gets feedback except the “leaders “ - people quit because of the leadership. Not enough support for teachers.
