The benefits are not good. You only get 10 days of PTO your first year, and 15 in your second, but sick days are included in that, which is insane. We didn’t even get holidays like MLK Day or Juneteenth off, which feels verrrrrrry weird considering that Mud Pie is only a gift company, not essential workers or anything.
The president/c suite also made a lot of decisions that did not take employees’ health or satisfaction into account. For example, when it snowed most recently, they didn’t let us leave the office until after the snow started sticking, resulting in multiple people (myself included) nearly getting into car accidents on the way home. When it snowed the week before that, they made us come into the office without salting the sidewalk or parking lot, resulting in myself and another coworker falling on the ice. Employees work remotely every Friday, but the president/c suite took that away during Christmas and New Years with only a couple weeks’ notice despite people already having travel arrangements made.
