Frustrating

Pros

Salary is ok and up to market standard, the people you work with are nice. It is a good atmosphere in this company, all pull together.

Cons

You are required to jump through hops to get a job. Several interview stages, intelligence tests and even an interview with a psychologist. This is am American company, so they will not pay you, if you are ill and cannot come into work. Overall this company makes you take on more than 1 role, they insist on having a lower headcount than actually necessary. You are also required to make up for the companies shortfalls in organisation and technology, which is decades out of standard. This results in delays, as things you are used to be able to do, take 3 x as long, for example one part of the system needs information, but the system already knows this and is incapable to communicate with itself, so you are required to write things down by hand, and then manually put it into the system again, and information that is already there, but cannot get from 1 end of the screen to the next. This was the most frustrating job of my life.

Pros

Money, benefits, some nice people work there.

Cons

You have very little control over the sales process, you MUST directly involve various people even if it's to the detriment of the outcome and everyone else makes the decisions on current accounts. You're the one that gets fired though when the sum of other peoples decisions and their involvement in the sales process doesn't yield the desired results. Very high turn over rate is the result; despite hiring and firing dozens of people they refuse to do things differently. The new management put new signs on the wall but the culture actually got worse if that's possible. If you follow the culture on the wall you won't last long! The customers are tired of having a new sales person to get to know every six months to a year; they'll tell you you're their 5th/6th ect and know management is the real problem.
