Pros

*literally zero, he is in this for himself.

Cons

* history of joining companies where he's dubbed the "turnaround guy" * LOOK at his track record from Efficient Frontier, to Yahoo! to Simply Hired * Simply Hired had an AHmazing founder and CEO and Beriker literally ran the company into the ground. * No material leadership experience in mentoring, MOTIVATING and INSPIRING employees * Terminates people that don't subscribe to his dictatorial management style or beliefs * Do your homework and talk to former employees that have worked with him BEFORE you join * Hires expensive consultants that tell him what he wants to hear

Pros

Free food, that's about it.

Cons

Don't work here, no matter what they're offering you. Munchery has a really abusive and classist company culture that demands you eat, live, and breathe Munchery 100% of the time, and then thank them for giving you such a great "opportunity" to be abused by them. Work-life balance there is a total joke. If you're not working yourself to the bone, then you're looked down on as lazy. They don't pay their employees enough, and the disparity between the way HQ departments (Customer Care, Engineering, etc.) are treated and the way all other departments (Operations, Culinary) are treated is ridiculously classist. If you don't work at HQ, you don't exist. That's not to say HQ has it much better; they're worked to the bone too. They just make a little more money. While I was there, anytime I socialized with people from other departments after work, everyone got completely hammered. In my opinion, it was because they hated their jobs so much, they needed to drink to forget how much they hated it (at least that's why i did!). That said, there is a lot of career opportunity there, but that's because the turnover is so high. People are constantly quitting but never replaced, so their work just gets redistributed to everyone else who's still there. My resume looked fantastic after I left because I did so much, but I was so burned out that it took me 2 solid weeks to recover from working there. I still kind of have PTSD about it months and months later.

Pros

Was good food, great people willing to put in work for each other and a company that has zero respect or compassion for ground floor workers.

Cons

Heavy belief that the only people that need to be treated well are high paid HQ employees. treat the workers, that make there company move on a daily basis, like second class citizens that should be thanking them for a job. Terrible management practices, but honestly no one cares as long as the money keeps rolling. They will tell you there is tons of room to grow and opportunity to move up, but really there is just tons of opportunity to work more and take on more responsibility, but reviews, promotions and raises don't come (again except for high paid HQ people) and when you ask or push them for it you will be shamed into thinking you really shouldn't have asked. Highly abusive culture.
