Great autonomy and supportive culture, but vacation days could do with improving
Pros
A lot of autonomy and trust to get the job done. I hate people looming over me, expecially since I am ND. I find that people make an active effort to understand my needs, there are several groups that I am a part of and they offer very good advice. They even did a webinar last year to teach managers how to work with an ND workforce. Kudos on that, do more. Pay is fairly decent, but the benefits package is a bit mid. I love the flexibility in my role too, never had this before. I could swear I work more now than when I was doing mandated hours. I think that as an ND person these things really help with productivity. Team culture is amazing here too. I can be myself without judgement, and people actively take an interest in others too. Also the bbqs are pretty fun too.
Cons
Add some days off with service. I am told that you get a day extra for each 4 years worked - that's a bit meh if I'm honest. I used to have a day per year, up to 5 years, and it was amazing. After working there for 5 years, I had 30 days A/L + bank holidays and I was loving life.
