Pros

Enjoy the products we make and the people I work with

Cons

Tina, the CEO behaves like a petulant child in company meetings. Rolling her eyes, huffing and talking down to people simply asking questions. Though all the new C-level management need a few lessons in communications; group meetings are very cursed.

Pros

'Some' genuine and nice people who actually work hard and are down to earth.

Cons

Toxic company culture. Narcissism. Bullying discredited as banter. Favoritism from Management. Fake and spiteful colleagues. Gossip. Rumors. Blame shifting. Using people. Unprofessional. Controlling personalities. Office politics. Little recognition. No Managerial support. Colleagues work against you not with you. All round unprofessional company.

Pros

*Lots of nice people within the company. *In my role I feel like I can make a difference in Public Safety and that the work I do can matter. I am proud of the work that I do. *Lower level management are supportive. *Good pension contributions. *Private Medical cover. *Frequently approached by competitors. Allows you to keep your options open.

Cons

*Pay - Pay is terrible compared to the average for my role. Approx 33% underpaid compared to the same role with our main competitors. No pay increase last year and this year received a 2% rise even with achieving "Exceeds" in my PDR. - This could just be the business area I work in but it affects multiple teams within it. I feel 2% would be adequate if we weren't paid 33% less to begin with and inflation wasn't over 7%. Makes you question your worth in the company and what the point in striving for an "Exceed" in PDRs is. *Hybrid Working - Having to go into the office even when the colleagues you work with don't work in the same building or even on the same continent as you. 1 rule fits all mentality. *Resourcing issues - Number of teams struggling to fill vacancies due to people leaving for better pay elsewhere. No staff retention policy. Replacements are often less qualified or less experienced when positions are finally filled. New staff leave shortly after joining for better pay elsewhere further exacerbating the problem. It feels like execs don't care about staff retention or job quality. Low pay and no exit interviews held even for senior, long serving staff. *Communication - Certain teams don't talk to each other. They seem to require a middle man often resulting in inefficiencies. Team A wont talk to Team B so instead asks Team C to ask to Team B a question... *Team spirit - Some parts of the business treat you like a competitor or 3rd party rather than the same company. *Feedback - Infrequent staff feedback surveys which only allow you to put down positives with questions similar to "Which areas have we most improved in?" "Which are your favourite changes we've made". It feels like senior management are deaf to criticism and unwilling to hear proper feedback. How can we improve as a company if we don't look at and address the things we're doing not so well? *Covid measures - Returning to work during covid could have been better managed. Following the pandemic teams were supposed to be brought back in to the office on different days and spread out. Instead all the teams that share the same room as mine come back in on the same days and sit clumped together. We do have a cleaner to wipe down surfaces but other than that we're sat bunched together even though there's adequate space to be further apart and told to "open a window". It wasn't great advice for winter.
