Pros

• You are not just a cog. You will always have an opportunity to voice your thoughts at Neighbor. The President loves brainstorming, and every artist has the chance to participate- regardless of experience level. • Multi-cultural Diversity. Being able to navigate, not only projects, but also life in general with a diverse group of people is incredibly valuable and absolutely stimulates creativity. • Family-vibe. When your car breaks down, you call your Neighbors. When you're locked in a stairwell, you call your Neighbors. When you just want to play video games, you call your Neighbors. A lot of the crew at Neighbor have been working together, or have known each other, for a very long time. This makes it feel like a family, which can be nice.

Cons

• Sometimes Democratic Design. Because every artist has an opportunity to give input, it can feel a lot like democratic design, and if you're a designer- this can diminish your role and your value. • Not so quick to change. Considering how small the company is (8ish employees), you would think the company would be more nimble and quick to make beneficial changes. Nope. Habits die hard. • Family-vibe. Ever heard of family drama? Yeah. It can get like that sometimes. Not in a horrible Jerry Springer kind of way- more like a roll-your-eyes a lot way. With that said, I honestly doubt there's a company that doesn't deal with office politics.
