Pros

There are some lovely and dedicated staff and volunteers who are friendly and helpful. What the NTS stands for fantastic for Scottish heritage.

Cons

Some of the management are completely incompetent and rude. A bullying culture exists within some regions which seems to be ignored when reported. Management relations with staff and volunteers is appalling in some cases. Employees are not valued or appreciated.

Pros

Flexibility of hours (can set your own hours), remote and working from home, helpful support from team leaders and top management.

Cons

Stress from typing fast and for long hours, sitting too long, wear and tear on elbows and wrists, can be low pay but have to work hard to gain a slight increase in pay. Above all, company is phasing out work to AI doing most reports, so job opportunities for medical transcription are very few.
