Pros

The students were the best part of working here. Most of the clinical staff are helpful, professional, dedicated, and have the students best interests in mind. However the same cannot be said about a few clinical staff on site. The school is fantastic and has the resources to create positive and meaningful changes in the lives of those with autism.

Cons

Lots of chatter and negative talk about therapists occur out in the open. Very unsettling and unprofessional to hear clinical staff talk negatively about therapists and students to other therapists and staff. Unfortunately this was not a friendly work environment while I was employed there and the reason I left.

Pros

They do provide a lot of support while you get to know your students. I felt very comfortable after training with each of the students I had.

Cons

Most of the people working at NLG are young woman so the work place was very cliquey. I always heard employee's and even BCBA's talking about others which was off putting.

Favoritism

Pros

Kids are great. They pay is good and there are plenty of days off you get paid for.

Cons

Lots of the staff are divided. Half of them really love the job and half of them hate their job. There is a lot of favoritism and cliques. It is difficult to train when they have staff acting unprofessionally. Felt like high school.
