Pros

Few and far better these days but the salary is good!

Cons

Very poor managment of the Control Room, Network Operation Managers cant seem to keep enough people in the control room to have full staffing levels on shift! The treatment of staff within the control center is so poor that even newly authorised control engineers are leaving for other roles within the business and happy to take pay cuts to do so! Network operation managers are seen to choose who they wish to bully within the room for no apparent reason, especially those who are part or have been part of training schemes! As an essential part of the business you would think the management of the control center would be at the top of the priority list for National Grid but this doesnt seem to be the case.
