Pros

An understanding team at corporate, strong recruiters, good flow of business coming in for a smaller company, balanced workload, company is attempting to implement systems which helps with the minor growing pains

Cons

Some of the managers are only managers because they have been working for the company for a long time, different rules for different roles on the same project (ie work from home, making up sick time), your mileage may vary depending on your manager

NexGen takes all reviews seriously and appreciates feedback. We understand that not every role will have the same degree of flexibility, for example more customer facing positions have slightly different customer-driven expectations; however, we always strive for a happy customer and a happy team.

They use old technologies. Lack of structure of work, no transparency, No management. Ask to do work on off days like weekends. Make fun of staff and point out mistakes and insult. Very low paying job.

Pros

NexGen is fairly small, and has a fairly familial corporate culture. I feel comfortable talking to anyone in the company, including managers a couple levels above me, and the corporate folks, like HR. Part of that comes from the size of the company, and part of it comes from the fact that the managers and corporate are actively involved in the project and involved in getting the employees through the long government clearance process. They are also fairly generous about sick leave, letting employees use leave before they accumulated it

Cons

Management tends to pigeon-hole employees into specific positions based on past experience, which can stunt their growth into new areas.
