Pros
The team around you really rally together because the work pressure and workload is so high.
Cons
Outdated systems that are ten years behind everyone else in the same industry. Senior management are getting promoted even though theyre not great, only promoted because they’re there. The company is really starting to go in the right direction only because of new VP hires over the last year or so. Especially for critical roles like CTO, former COO - maybe keep the on again- off again relationship with the former CEO private or be better at the role. It really impacts morale when two directors leave and name you specifically as one of the reasons why to their team. The culture created by senior management where it’s an open secret that if you don’t get on the good side of the CTO, your department will have a difficult time getting things done is really horrible. It also impacts morale when P&C team forbid anyone from making farewell emails when leaving and you get in trouble for it. you’re following up on someone and realise they’re not longer there really puts a dent in the culture. Never came across a company where their contribution is just just swept under the rug like that.
