Pros

Nice office, air con, free tea

I worked for Otis, well a subsidory of the company for over 5 years and in the time i was promised progression, i was promised a pay rise... Didnt get either. Management just look at their potential bonus for completing a job on time, this isnt handed downnto minions who help them reach their targets! Im my time there i must have saved the company over 10k a year by finding cheaper suppliers for parts and labour, yet all i received was a £200 gift card! Yea that eas nice but my manager was getting £3k minimum bonus per job! Avoid Otis, ELA Group, PDERS or whatever name they use. Unless you have a degree they wont progress you as they are all snobs and dont value the average hard worker

Pros

Unfortunately, no pros. Avoid Otis if you are looking for stable company and positive environment.

Cons

Company is a mess. Managers don't value your skills and experience. There is no communication between departments. Don't recommend Otis as company with warm and welcome attitude to their employees just opposite. Deeply disappointed.

Pros

Globally recognised brand in the marketplace. Legacy of good products and projects....but falling way behind now.

Cons

Unethical treatment of staff, customers and suppliers. Be prepared to leave your morales at home if you want to get on at this place. If you are serous about joining get some feedback from employees doing the same job. The massive turnover in staff (just look on LinkedIn) and contract losses say it all - during your interview ask about their complaints procedure and how they collect and act on customer feedback. So may long time servers who refuse to change and no longer understand the industry or customers - you can no longer trade on the OTIS name alone when they are way behind other OEM's in the UK such as KONE and Schindler and probably TKE soon. So much internal fighting between Service and Installations with customers, staff and suppliers caught in the middle as each fight for profit at any cost.
