Lack of resources and unreasonable expectations from executive management--pitched to you in the interview as "like working at a start-up with rich grandparents, we wear a lot of hats" but day after day you begin to notice how lean the company actually is and how people have just quietly accepted the workload. Employees are spread too thin, many taking on tasks far outside their core responsibilities. Management is too budget-focused leading to unnecessary hurdles to doing normal business functions. Too much time and money wasted on internal functions guised as training. Skeleton crew to ghost town at Oakbrook, IL office which shares its lab and office space with sister company ACH Foods. Family coverage insurance was the most expensive I'd encountered in my career.
