Pros

Even the pros have cons: Picture this: SIX Site Directors fired in just 2 years of Operation (one Operation Manager escorted with Security Guards via the back door!) Low level / low rank advisers who answer the phone in several language create Good work climate among them only. They have each other's back and are friendly. Some Team Leaders are good co- workers as well. But Management is so far away from even understanding the needs of the staff as well as the subject matter of the company and the role. Salary was made attractive to compensate for everything else that did not work, leading to highly overpaid executives who were there for the money but did not know how to run their own two feet. Low level advisers who despite doing EXACTLY the same job do not make the same salary depending on when they were hired, higher salary being 27k (25k + language bonus) and lowest 19,6k !! Not because of seniority in the role, but the more recently you were hired, the less salary was offered to you, each generation of advisers were offered a lower salary than the generation before them (each generation hired by no more than 1 or 2 months difference). * Mary Chan no longer CEO since 2016. Glassdoor needs Updating. OnStar is the brand who hired MINACS to provide personnel for their Luton Call Centre since Jan 2015, later MINACS was taken over by Concentrix in October 2016.

Cons

Accept working for OnStar UK at your own risk (employees nick name the business as PORN STAR ). OnStar: 6 Site Directors and Operation Managers in 2 years from operation start on January 2015 until July 2017 (5 of them were FIRED, one even was escorted out through the back door with security guards). HR staff manager included fired too and HR director fired before the ship began to sink... and every day is more of a mess. Most people resigned and so severely understaffed that in June 2017 they dared to ask the poor 12 hour overnight shift workers (who work from 21:30 to 9:30 a.m. Good Lord) not to go home but to stay and cover the lack of employees in the 9 to 1700 shift !! For a company in the UK whose English language phone lines goes UNDERstaffed... well imagine how the company is run. Foreign consultants working 6 months or even 1 year or more working on their TOURIST VISAS.

Pros

Awesome atmosphere, great colleagues that support each other. A very fun, dynamic and international group of agents working incredibly hard to provide the best support possible.

Cons

Clueless and unappreciative management. No idea of what customer services is and how to keep up morale. Great at putting down agents, taking away freedoms and making agents feel and act like robots rather than humans. Promises are not kept and those promoted are easily demoted if they try to have an opinion or try to contribute to improving the way things are done. No right to a personal life and schedules are changed without discussion, notice or regards to personal commitments. Management lives in a bubble with no idea of reality and no respect for those agents who are the face of Onstar. A real real shame as with better management, it would be an incredible place to work.

Pros

Very good salary, decent break time. Some of the management very helpful and there for the employees. I would recommend this to anyone who is new in the work field and want to put something on their cvs.

Cons

Hours are horrible, if you don't live in Luton don't even bother to apply. Training staff are condescending and very rude and not sure they understand the product or how a customer service works
