Pros

Despite the culture and poor management, there are some extremley talented people here who are great to work with.

Cons

While the change in IT management was a breath of fresh air, the professionalism is only skin deep and now the realisation for most IT staff is setting in. Underneath the misleading exterior of the Transformation programme lies the same old story that IT staff have had to unfortunately get used to. Broken promises, bullying, and poor management. It has become a bit of a running joke within the deptarment now, but the revolving door continues. The only way you can guarantee your job safety is kiss the rear of management, and woe be you if you dare speak out of line or suggest something sensible. Certain long serving bullies in the department are protected by management for god knows what reason whereas good staff are fired because 'the face doesnt fit'. Managers who have been there for years, who are not up to the job for which they were hired speak down to staff and belittle them as a means to control them. Staff turnover in the IT deparment remains high as a result. The HR department is useless and despite complaints have done nothing to sort these issue. Nobody seems to care which is a shame because staff in other departmens in One Housing seem to really enjoy working there.

Pros

It is a not for profit organisation

Cons

Management are horrible, completely unsupportive of staff and do not assist when teams are struggling. The organisation is racist. It is a toxic atmosphere. HR do not help and only feed into the bullying and racist regime. Incompetent senior management team, particularly from AD and above. Wrongfully dismissed multiple staff to cover their own incompetence and mistakes. Dictatorship.

Staff come and go in accounts due to poor hiring process. Managers changed too often. Poor team structure Processes not all in line from all management staff due to poor communication across team. Already dealing with a long term backlog of work and more piled on constantly. Poor new system implemented. Favouritism within team by management. Low team spirits due to all above. Forced to work late as all things urgent,
