Pros

Option to travel but only if you are support staff.

Cons

Political. Owner of the business will happily walk past you and ignore you along with some of the directors acting in the same fashion. Not interested in you unless you work past 6pm every evening. No work/life balance. You are considered to be leaving early if you leave at your contracted time, and given no respect if you do so. Lack of career progression unless you are one of the directors friends.

Pros

* Interesting work a lot of the time * Some good coworkers

Cons

*The management approach is "get a load of uni grads in and hope they commit to a sunk cost fallacy" * Technical skills lacking from most staff * Management 'disincentivises' discussion of salary, mostly to bully people (raises are based on nepotism and only ok'd by the CEO - so if he knows you, great. if not...) * CEO is a Musk wannabe without the charisma and just as much technical skill * Can't progress outside Belfast office * Everything is a crisis and all of it avoidable if anyone in their jobs had any real skills or experience (most senior staff are 7+ years with the company and wouldn't last 5 mins anywhere else) * Got verbal abuse from management & clients like it's normal * Known incidents of discrimination & bullying * No managers have training or know how to manage people (it's just about giving 'titles' to the favorites) very toxic, glad I left

Pros

Travel : It's most of the marketing, and is a strong point of the company. Though just don't look into the visa you're on, or declare it at airports. Colleagues : Most are nice, but you'll find 70% of the work force is grads. Saying that, it's excellent for grads to break into the sector. Although tiring working without experienced colleagues. Bonuses : These offset the, borderline insulting, baseline wage package. You'd think you're in a sales job working commissions. Just wait until you get promoted and take a sizeable (25-50%) pay-hit! I've heard they do it to 'test your commitment to the company'. It's just plain playing with peoples livelihoods. Work from home : 3 days in office... depending on where you are. Heard mixed messages from other offices. It's a revolving door company, excellent for 1-2 years of work, then move on ASAP!

Cons

Management : Its embarrassingly bad, everyone is terrified of the CEO and you are mostly looked down upon from management. Any ideas you have are nullified and disregarded unless you are on the big mans radar. There was alot of buzz as I was left about 'we need to innovate more'. Its hilarious in retrospect as the environment simply does not allow it without someone else taking credit. Company value : There is none, you are replaceable and if you ask to be treated fairly for extra responsibility you've undertaken or project work done, you will be reminded how you can be replaced and disposable. This is mostly due to the fact that, as previously mentioned, most of the workforce is highly in-experienced grads and as a result, constantly looking to break out into more experienced roles. Not the grads fault, its how the company is postured. Learning expansion : If you want to learn exclusively Microsoft tools, this is the place for you. If you want to learn anything else, good luck. Fundamentally fair progression system : This just doesn't exist. It's purely based upon who you know, not what you can do. Non-existent pay reviews : If you do get the pleasure of working here, you'll hear from some of the vets that 2/3 years into their employment, the new hires (grads) are actually on more base wage than them. Only when you raise the obscenity to HR, they *might* match yours to the NEW HIRE wage. Horror show. Benefits : Health insurance? Local discounts? 8 Hours of virtual mental health appointments a year. About it and quite on the nose. HR : You'd think their primary response method is via the Royal Mail. Once you do finally get a response, it's usually just them lazily pointing you to an employee portal page that hasn't been reviewed or updated since 1983.
