For an employee, Orange Logic's constant search for excellence can be a double-edged sword: the ambitious and driven are given a lot of trust and room to innovate, but those who are not so driven can find it hard to keep up with the pace. I already knew the company pretty well when I joined and I wanted to work in an ambitious environment with robust business ethics. Before I joined Orange Logic my previous company had been a client of theirs for 7 years. We regularly evaluated competing products as part of our due diligence, and we consistently concluded that Orange Logic remained well ahead of the other options out there. It is this difference in quality that attracted me to the company, I wanted to accelerate my professional growth and I am really happy I joined.
Cons
There is an 8 hour time difference between Europe and the US, and it feels like it’s always Europe that has to adapt to the US team hours. I could really have used a longer ramp-up period when I joined the company, I was given a lot of responsibility, almost too quickly for me.
