So much potential, such a shame

Pros

Strong team of talented workers who genuinely want the best for the company. Great work/life balance and benefits. Location is close to a park and great eateries, oh yeah and free parking.

Cons

The office is drab, depressing, and gross. Upper management is a joke. Not quite sure what any of them do. Recently experienced layoffs, which has not been addressed by management for those who were "spared" and still employed. People are fearful of losing their jobs. No clear leadership or vision. It would be helpful to have clarity of expectations. Company culture is the worst. If HR's goal in any company is suppose to help the business succeed, the place is in dire need of re-tuning. Employee morale is low to nonexistent. Cheese plates aren't the solution. The biggest surprise was when another negative Glassdoor review was posted, instead of addressing the problem it was mocked.

Such a shame

Pros

Some fun eclectic, art-centric programing still being produced and acquired. Some passionate and talented fellow employees to work with and share ideas. Low stress, pet friendly and excellent location. Free onsite parking, generous benefit package and good work/life balance. Some extras like field trips and B'day parties are a really nice touch and appreciated.

Cons

Current upper management is seemingly unaware of what is going on w/ the day to day running of the company. The last 2 rounds of layoffs----earlier this week and in July of 2015---proves that. Some of the best, most valuable, respected, knowledgable, enthusiastic and well liked people were let go, while less talented and experienced were retained because they were less expensive (on paper). The company is hemorrhaging talent at an alarming rate and I expect more will jump from a sinking ship. Morale is at an all time low because of the out of touch leadership and the lack of communication. No idea what the ultimate goal is anymore. "Ratings" isn't a mission statement. Saying that is like saying "good health" is your diet plan. Have some "specific" goals and a plan to obtain them. Seems like every decision is based solely on an accountants "bottom line." We all understand financial viability is key and trimming the fat is sometimes a harsh reality----but please dig a little deeper and talk to a few of the people on the front lines and in the "know" before making your cuts.

Pros

None...just a few nice coworkers but absolutely nothing else

Cons

No life/work balance at all. You have to work like a horse and you won't get any recognition for it. No advancement & or raises. Very racist!!! Unless you are a dumb blond with blue eyes, you won't get anything in this company. Don't apply if you are not a blond with blue eyes!!!
