Pros

No shortage on hours or work to be done.

Cons

During my experience with PALS, there was significant ambiguity and a lack of structure. The caseload is extremely high (approx. 70 clients) and the owners attempted to increase my caseload by splitting my time between 2 locations (approx. 130 clients). One of the owners reviews reports but has limited, if any, experience with ABA. The IPPs/BIPs lack objectivity, are poorly written, and suffer from worse supervision because the owner's friend is their consultant. I was told the position would allow me to work from home but when I started they stated I had to be in the office for the majority of the time. That was even worse because I had no formal desk and had to rotate with staff to do my job, used other people's login credentials since I lacked a work laptop, and lacked a login for the work computers. Whenever I tried to get a written confirmation on anything, the company was vague yet demanding about the hours that needed to be completed. Although my time there was brief, the heavy caseload, poor setup, and inconsistent communication made it feel like a lifetime. If you are a BCBA, I would not recommend working here especially if you want to work from home.

Pros

Decent pay and meaningful work if you just ignore what’s going on around you with management and staff

Cons

The majority in the higher positions are people who are the owners friends, family or same ethnicity. This causes huge favoritism and makes other employees actually doing their job feel undervalued and frustrated. Doesn’t matter if those who are favorites don’t do their job or mistreat clients. THEY ARE THE ONES WHO GET REWARDED. It’s very discouraging.
