Pros

"People, People, People" - Some of the smartest and most caring people you will ever come across. Very collaborative workplace, where Managers generally listen to your opinions and genuinely try to incorporate those opinions into day to day operations (YMMV). Colleagues were great and often go out of the way to help you. Excellent work-life balance. Energy/Electric industry is professionally very challenging and PJM is at the forefront of innovation as well as issues that highly skilled and extremely smart people work on.

Cons

The company has gone through a lot of turnover in the executive management area and current leadership (not necessarily all of it) may not be the right one. Best place to begin your career or end your career. What do I mean - if you are a fresh graduate or are early in your career, this company is the best in the electric industry to learn and get your feet wet. It takes a few years to really understand various functions of the company and the industry in general. Promotions tend to occur equitably in those stages. Once you reach a certain level, you can be stuck there with no growth for decades. If you have intentions of growing, this may not be the place for you, as growth occurs for a select few and those decisions never appear to have any logic or are fair and equitable. If you are in the tail end of your career and have no delusions of advancement, come in, put in your 8 hours, and be happy.

Pros

Good benefits, full tuition reimbursement,

Cons

Cutting dept budgets means low pay increases, less training offered or even supported, lower bonuses, talks of layoffs, lots of restructuring with new management positions (going to the favored).
