Pros

The benefits are ok, yearly bonus, and they do a 401k contribution for employees. It is also a stable job (as long as it's in the office)

Cons

There is definitely an old boys club here. They don't promote from within, when managers leave, they often hire an outsider. The neighborhood is horrible. I've had drug addicts approach me when walking up the street to the store. If you're looking to further your career, chances are it won't happen here unless you're willing to wait 15-20 years (I'm not exaggerating). This is a place to work only if you want a steady job and nothing more.

Pros

There are really good and talented guys here.

Cons

Everything you do you have to rush to get it done. You can not catch any breaks. Management would even follow you to the bathroom and wait for you outside and tell you if your taking too long. Management likes to hire guys who barley speak English because they would do anything just to have the job(yes men) and the also hire kids out of high school and they all come out of there running. No way to put out the highest and best quality of work the way management is running the departments. This company makes alot of money but there are no type of bonuses for full time welders. Only management and lead men get bonuses. Pretty much the people who dont work get money. The full time welders/fitters who buss there butts off all year long get Nothing! This is a good job if ur retiring in a few years but other then that its not worth the frustration with this place.

Pros

Some people here are easy to get along with.

Cons

NO room for growth in the office. Managers have a high tenure rate and turnover is low. It's almost impossible to for see a promotion within 3-5 years of being there. You better be in it for the long haul. A lot of the people are difficult to talk to. They are very closeminded and don't want to hear ideas on how to improve the work flow. Pay does not equal the workload. Some departments purposely run light on staff and the workload is very heavy. Should take an average person 50-55 hours of work compressed into a 40 hour work week. I had to work many hours from home in order to complete my days work of work. Stress level was very high from workload. Absolutely no training what-so-ever. You are expected to instantly know their systems, the client individual requirements, and all the fine details.
