Pros

1) Helpful Supervisors. 2) Good lessons 3) Own teaching platform, which is very good 4) Little preparation required 5) Good hourly rate of pay 6) Company pays for bank charges 7) The students are a pleasure to teach

Cons

1) Some teachers have a lot of long term classes but most do not. 2) You can only take three days holiday a month. Take any more and you have to pay a penalty (future classes may also be reduced as a result of taking "unathorised leave".) 3) Only two hours a day available for teaching (although I hear this may increase in the future) 3) Recent changes in the way the KPI score is calculated means that it is now extremely difficult to get the monthly bonus. The KPI score is mostly based on how many classes you have taken during the month (but many teachers have low bookings, despite high availability). 4) Many supervisors have left the company recently. I'm on my forth supervisor since October which is similar to many other teachers. 5) Too many teachers were hired in recent months. Many teachers were recently told that they were suspended or no longer have a job. (However Panda still seems to be hiring). The company says that they expect many new students to join soon, but not much evidence of this so far. 6) Company seems a little unstable, let's hope things improve soon!

Pros

- Hourly pay rate. - They pay on time. - The kids are great!

Cons

When I started working for them, the company wasn't perfect, it had its flaws, but they were fair and treated their teachers decently. Over the last few months, the situation has totally changed. 1. They try to chain you down, but at the same time they don't give you enough classes to fill your empty slots. Instead of having fewer teachers with a lot of classes, they prefer to have a lot of teachers - apparently they are constantly hiring - with a few classes each. The result is that, even though the hourly pay rate is good, the overall wage totally sucks. 2. You cannot take days off without being punished. They will either take one or two of your regular classes away or they will detract part of your wage. 3. If you get a Negative Feedback, you are done. They don't fire you, but maybe it would be better if they did. If you get ONE NF, they will not give you any more regular classes. They might take away some of your regular classes. They will pretend they are open to discussing the NF with you, but it's all a lie. They will let you explain, state your point and so on and so forth, but in the end they are going to give you the feedback anyways. All of this for ONE negative feedback in months. 4. Continuous change in management. The supervisors change and so do their opinions about what needs to be done. If your new supervisor wants you to do A, but your old supervisor had told you to do B, B doesn't count anymore. Too bad they don't tell you right away, but you will find out yourself.... by being penalized again. 5. The platform. It's not the worst I have seen, but they are still developing it and it freezes and lags. And guess what, if that happens, the fault is yours! Even if you can prove that your internet was totally stable when the platform froze, they won't care. It's your fault and, guess what again, you'll be penalized! 6. At times it seems that they want you to teach "Chinese English", instead of proper English pronunciation. They complain about the pronunciation of certain words - even if you're a native speaker and they are not. I could probably go on, but I guess this will suffice.
