Pros

Just read a review by this past employee who I think was in sales and clearly angry for being let go. PiF Technologies is a great place (that's why I have been her for 10 years). There is very little turnover and everyone gets along really well. The attack that was written by this angry person was completely out of line and not accurate.

Cons

As with any company there is always room for improvement. Health insurance is pricey and not great. (all other benefits are great - 401k, PTO, company events...)

Pros

Good base pay, looks like a decent place on the surface.

Cons

First of all, their core product is an absolute dinosaur in the doc management space. Any sales you get will you be cramming people into a product that they don’t really need. SharePoint is a much better product at a fraction of the price. On to the operations and culture. The only communication you’ll get from the bosses is micro management. I was not given any advice on what I needed to work on, instead I was micro managed and then fired. When I say micro managed, I mean them picking apart how many times I said “um” in a sales presentation. They don’t want sales people, they want robots who will act exactly like the managing director. He even tells people what to wear. (He told me to wear “black on black” on sales presentations, black pants and black dress shirt. I couldn’t believe it.) Also he drives like a crazed maniac on the way to sales calls. You are straight up in danger if you step foot in his car. Bottom line is they don’t care about anyone, the culture is toxic, the product is mediocre at best, and the ship is slowly sinking.

As a member of the executive team here at PiF, I do acknowledge and appreciate both your opinion and your experience while working here. Employee separation is difficult and something we take very seriously. That said, the PiF product offering includes 4 software solutions; document management with advanced workflow, intelligent data capture, robotic process automation, and smart web forms. Three of the products include artificial intelligence. Given the market adoption of those technologies and value they create to businesses, our customer acquisition experience is based on leveraging technology to help businesses become more efficient. Additionally, the document management offering is DocStar - owned by Epicor - a global company with $1 Billion in sales and 4,000 employees. PiF, DocStar, and Epicor are all confident in the value that DocStar provides to our customers. Executing on a daily basis is important for all roles in our company, including Professional Services, Operations, Customer Support, Administration and Sales. Performance goals are documented and especially clear for the sales team both in written format and during weekly 1:1 meetings with sales management. Whether it be daily metrics of calls and appointments or successfully demonstrating the value of our four different software products, we do actively hold our team accountable for their production. Let’s not confuse accountability with micro-management. Appreciating our employees and maintaining a positive culture is important. That starts with transparency and employee recognition. As a privately held company, we share our financial results with all employees during our quarterly meetings to show and discuss how we’re doing as a business. We encourage co-worker shout-outs to celebrate team members going the extra mile. We also select an employee of the quarter and gift them an individualized reward for their hard work. We recognize the competitive nature to retain employees and over the past 2 years, we have implemented organizational changes to better benefit our team members including an unlimited PTO policy, a casual dress code, and a dog-friendly office environment. All of that said, we were happy to celebrate more than 14% growth in 2018 - a direct result of our team's hard work and a 94% customer retention rate. If you’d like to discuss your personal experience further we encourage you to contact us directly.

Pros

There are really great lunch spots close by.

Cons

Pay - whatever they discuss with you, cut it in half and expect to live on it. Product - Another poster nailed this. The product is legacy, they DO steer their customers and sales reps away from the cloud platform, though that has little to do with support. They don't provide any for cloud customers, it's on the parent company. Turnover - I witnessed a near 50% turnover due to terminations company-wide inside of 12 months. Every Friday was someone's last day and it's not limited to commission based positions. Be very wary and keep your resume up to date.
