Toxic Work Environment
Pros
One of the few reasons to work at prepass is the pay. For a call center they pay relatively well and they add bonuses for performance.
Cons
Working at prepass is a roller coaster of negative emotions because of the management. Even when you meet the standards set by them they still want you to perform better and pressure you by giving you disciplinary actions if you don’t perform beyond the expected. They work on a system of tiers. The tiers are a combination of number of calls and tasks completed on the call. The tiers divide in below expectations, meeting expectations, and then tier 1, tier 2, tier 3. I would understand if they gave a write up for being on below expectations multiple times, because clearly your not doing the job. However they pressure you even if you are hitting tier 1 or meeting expectations. And when I say pressure I mean the make you go talk to the person in charge of the numbers. Her name is Susan and she is a double face person that would anything in her power to get you fired if she doesn’t like you. She even said to me to stay on her good side at the beginning of my employment there, at the moment I didn’t what she meant by that, later I found out. The person in charged of the every department is Bill. He says that he is always available and his doors are open to discuss any issues, but in reality he would not keep confidentiality and would tell everything to Susan delegating all the information and the situation to her. So it feels that he is no help.
