Pros
There are some warm people around, including my direct line manager. Data is an interesting area to work in at the moment. If you do your job and keep quiet it's probably an easy place to be.
Cons
There are officers and soldiers. If you're not in the "gang", don't expect to have a say in anything, you're just infantry. The machine is built and there's no room to move. They just want to crank the handle faster and harder. It's a total hamster wheel, not a place to grow your career if you're into professional development. My experience was within marketing and I sense that the situation is perhaps different in other functions. However, not a place for marketing innovators.
