Pros

Engineering facilities very good and the majority of the team are good to work with and very skilled. If you're looking to lead a team in the future, you will learn a lot of 'what not to do' at leadership level when trying to motivate a team and get to the next level.

Cons

Poor senior management team and level that has led to an awful culture amongst the team and high turnover amongst the day-to-day staff. Worst thing is they are either oblivious to this or just don't care and play the dumb card. There are no leaders in the senior management team, and this is down to either not being allowed to lead in the right way or not having the capability to do so. Senior Management are simply arrogant and intimidating in their ways.

Don't do it to yourself

Pros

Flexible hours to start and finish (as long as you aren't trying to catch up to the unattainable targets)

Cons

I would say don't work there unless you're desperate for work or don't mind being miserable for 40 hours a week. There are better jobs out there: - Low pay, 'competitive' as in how low can they pay you. Bonuses are not good and hard to achieve. - Toxic spreadsheets showing who worked on what projects each day, these were sent to us every morning. It is stressful and unhelpful long term, to feel monitored all the time, especially for new staff who are learning. - The time wasted in timekeeping and people-watching could be better spent actually training people/doing the work. - Very few parking spaces. - Unrealistic targets. - Shocking lack of diversity, especially for female staff. When I worked there, unless you were a very junior position it's very much a boy's club. - I got told in my first week "it's great that they hired a woman in your team!" I was not on a small team. Very condescending, toxic and patronizing attitude to have. - Very cold, I would see people wearing their coats while they worked. - No food is provided in the canteen and all the shops/cafes are driving distance which isn't long enough when you have only a 30 minute lunch, or if you don't have a car. - People don't have boundaries and will ask you work questions while you're trying to have lunch. - Unprofessional interview process, they weren't sure which position they were interviewing for and changed the job title for the interview several times. - The 'wellness' plan included things that didn't really matter such as soup in the canteen one time, and one of the 'benefits' listed was tea and coffee, and unhelpful advice via email such as 'make your own lunch' to save money.

Pros

Flexible working for most roles

Cons

Culture - unhappy and unfriendly people and management with the exception of a couple. Manager was the worst I've had, she had little or no consideration or appreciation for people in general.
