While there are "pros" of being a small company there are also cons.
With small companies, many people wear many hats, job descriptions are commonly broad. We have a loose hierarchical structure which CAN result is low work. One way of interpreting that is that if you're a tier 1 technician, you won't just be entering tickets, answering phones and changing passwords. More likely you'll be onsite doing user on-boarding and deployments or diagnosing complicated issues. In other words, people aren't cordoned off to "you only do this". And for some people, that lack of structure is a con.
