Pros

You will gain experience relevant to your career.

Cons

Leadership at PAE has little to no healthy management traits to teach anyone aspiring to manage others in their career. Expect to have a very unhealthy work to personal life ratio. You can also expect this toxic workplace to begin to negatively effect what little personal time you do get. The extreme efforts to create a "one office" culture in a company with two distant offices, specifically during and post covid, is ineffective and ironically the start of PAE's downfall. Even long standing employees are beginning to find opportunities elsewhere. Take that as a strong sign from the experienced. Only consider working here as a last resort, and don't get too comfortable if you do; they tend to go through firing phases periodically.

Pros

We design some truly impressive buildings and have a range of clients who respect us. And the employees who step up to lead the Culture by Design committees deserve special recognition. Plus, we keep winning "Best & Brightest" awards (including national ones, I think.)

Cons

We're not always sure what's going on with Management. For instance, the company let go about 20 people last year for financial reasons....then wanted to hire a couple back? And then had a record financial year? And we've done major restructuring to work cross-office...but now people feel like they're part of even larger teams and less connected to one another. People will voluntarily resign (or get terminated) and it's hard to get a clear vision of what's going on.
