      Great Support and Opportunities

      Pros

      Very supportive team that encourage you to develop your skills and provide opportunities for you to do so. I was always asked what my goals were and everyone would help me achieve them. The experience I was offered is invaluable and I would have struggled to find that elsewhere. There is a mentor program which is great, however I found in my team everyone acted as a mentor and if I had any questions there was always someone to help. I was given feedback regularly and felt valued for my work. I also found everyone very friendly and it was a comfortable working environment. There are regular social events that allow you to get to know everyone in a relaxed setting.

      Cons

      There can be long hours and sometimes the level of responsibility I had made me feel a bit pressured.

As with any high performing company, there will be pressure to excel but we are committed to making sure we are adequately staffed so the responsibility and work is shared.

      Pros

      Prospect is a growing firm that's maintained its family-run feel. Employees are part of something special - surrounded by driven, intelligent, forward-thinking colleagues and an accomplished leadership that never tires of looking ahead. Employees are well-compensated and welcomed into the Prospect family; everyone is encouraged to attend firm-wide annual events. The views from the office are the best in New York City.

      Cons

      Work/life balance varies depending on your role. Thrice-weekly firm-wide conference calls are often lengthy!

      Pros

      Good people at the mid to junior levels who manage to maintain a good camaraderie while being forced to live in the trenches together. This helps to ease the pain of the overall culture which is set at the top.

      Cons

      Terrible senior management who can't be trusted. Very hypocritical and narcissistic. Reward "loyalty" by forcing coworkers to rat out one another. Overall toxic environment.
