Pros

Decent product, good engineering staff (for most part of it), some really good employees.

Cons

No strong fundamentals for good manufacturing, a lot of fakeness from certain management folks, less than qualified people on some higher roles, a lot of buddy-buddy.

Pros

Dynamic work place. Lots of different systems to work with and can be very hands on. Many of the people working here are hard workers and team players. The company has a clear future but is also flirting with not succeeding.

Cons

Sales are made whether a product exists or not and engineers are left to slap together something. Employees are not valued as they are typically discarded and replaced. No career advancements available with in the company. Every section of Proterra is understaffed..

Thank you for your feedback. This is an exciting time, with Proterra featuring new product launches and increased sales. The environment is very fast-paced and we move quickly to stay ahead of our competitors. Our employees are the biggest part of our success at Proterra and are valued. We apologize that you did not experience that during your tenure with the company. In more recent months, we have been putting in place a career-path progression program in Engineering and will be rolling out a larger program to the entire organization this Fall. We have also been successful in promoting individual contributors to first time management roles and continue to look for opportunities to grow our employees. Growth fuels opportunity of all kinds including personal growth.

Pros

I get to leave for lunch. Thats it

Cons

Proterra is putting employees lives at risk. They purposely withhold information on employees who have tested positive for Covid 19. Employees are not immediately informed when they have been in close contact with employees who are positive with covid 19. Management waits days and conceals the information putting other employees and their families at risk. Recently an employee informed management on a Friday of their positive covid 19 result. Proterra kept it a secret until an email was sent out Tuesday. At minimum, employees who worked closely with this individual should have been notified immediately. They could have made an informed decision on who they saw or stayed away from over the weekend. Now their families and children have possibly been exposed. All because Proterra kept this information a secret four days. This should be a criminal act. These are peoples lives they are manipulating. This is only one example of how horrific the management is at Proterra. Do not work there.
