Pros

They offer flexible work schedules.

Cons

There are about 4 people in the company who know anything about crisis work. People get no training and are left with little to no skill to assist those in crisis. I would not call this line if I were in crisis.

UPDATE: Thank you so much for the conversation! It was enlightening and we will be taking action based on things that you said. Good luck to you and we hope you absolutely love your next gig. Hello, we appreciate your feedback and would love to conduct an exit interview with you please feel free to contact HR to schedule this. We require that all of our crisis workers receive 80 hours of in-person and online training but would love to hear more if you feel like that isn't enough or if it could be improved.

Pros

Cute kids. Fun moments. Laughs

Cons

You will be working completely UNDERSTAFFED! The pay isn't worth the amount of work you'll be doing. They say it's part time but you WILL be working FULL TIME and not getting paid for any work outside of/getting your site ready. Over half if not all the students have some form of a behavior/emotional issue. Which wouldn't be a problem if sites where properly staffed, but they aren't. So, you're going to be stressed almost everyday and won't get much done with the children who actually want to participate. Parents will try to fight you over any small things, even when thier child is in the wrong. And don't count on management. The upper management WILL NOT SUPPORT YOU! All they care about is making numbers. The misbehaved parents will always get what they want and you'll be apologizing. They'll use the kids to guilt you into staying. DONT DO IT. You leave feeling empty and like you wasted your time.

Thank you for this information. So sorry you left feeling so depleted. We would never, ever want that for any of our Team. We have increased the pay and we work very hard to ensure a full staff at all of the school sites as we wouldn't be able to have the program if we didn't. Once again, we are sorry you had a negative experience and we sure hope you have found something you love and is a good fit.
