I worked at RSM full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Excellent progression opportunities
    Competitive pay
    Strong leadership within the business
    Good benefits
    Good sense of team spirit

    Cons

Not for the faint hearted, progression will come to those who work for it
    Poor bonus structure

    Advice to Management

Avoid staff who aren't going to be absolutely committed as they will drag the team down with them

    I worked at RSM full-time

    Pros

    - Lots of training
    - Just updated internal systems and tech

    Cons

    - Don't actually care that much about grads. Hire loads and fire as soon as you slip up.
    - Seems to have lost a lot of staff this year.

I worked at RSM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Committed staff and teams working to support each other well.

    Cons

Similar to all firms, the teams become overstretched at times which impacts on work/life balance and can create unnecessary pressure in a training/learning environment. This can leave some feeling like cannon fodder as if they have been harassed, but if you succeed then it can be a place to thrive, do well and progress.

    Advice to Management

Aim to deliver on your commitments

I have been working at RSM full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Exposure to clients, free drinks and fruit. Some chance of career progression, normally achieved by squeezing anything and everything out of you.

    Cons

The company is reverting back to the previous horror show that was RSM Tenon. Smoke and Mirrors, failing senior management, significant staff turnover. RSM promotes itself as employed focussed. It's not.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes, take some time to speak with staff and listen.

I worked at RSM full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good social events with an active social committee
Good office location - close to town centre and restaurants, ASDA etc
    Fun team (IT)

    Cons

    Lower salary compared to market
Not much chance for promotion or career progression
Good work isn't recognised and there is not really any benefit/bonuses for anyone other than management

    Advice to Management

Recognise the work employees are doing and the fact that other employees do nothing. It's unfair to promote people because you just think they are at the same level.
Give more fair pay rises - don't give people the same pay rises just because they have the same job title.
Allow people that are doing a good job to have more responsibility and give them a clear path so they know what they are working towards and can progress.
