      An interesting place to work but with its problems

      Pros

      Success depends what team you are part of and the goals of the organization at the time. Challenging work and niche use of technology.

      Cons

      Working environment is not great (responsibilities unclear and fluctuating hours). Compensation is determined by the bosses and generally less than other firms. There's not any metric to show your performance.

      An overcrowded galleon

      Pros

      Sails fast(er) in gust. Pay was excellent. Great work life balance during covid WFH.

      Cons

      The galleon gets too crowded for its size. Like Bagoas to Achaemenid, the eunuch is overly empowered that undermines the whole empire.

      Pros

      Open environment with access to all information in the firm. You can learn more about any part of trading in which you are interested. You're encouraged to and rewarded for coming up with your own ideas that will contribute to the bottom line. There are a lot of opportunities to work on what you think is most important based on the expected return to the company.

      Cons

      Smaller company means that you may be responsible for a breadth of things. If you are a depth person that wants to stay focused on one thing for years that will be challenging here. Self-directed environment can leave some people unsure where they should focus.
