Thank you for sharing your feedback! We really strive to offer our team autonomy and a good (working towards great!) compensation package. We've been working towards a more flexible time off practice that also allows team members to fully disconnect and recharge. We just rolled out an updated paid time off policy for 2021 :) Trust is also something we deeply value and are continuing to work on to make sure all team members feel trusted and empowered to be their best selves and do incredible work. We're rolling out 15Five as one of our big initiatives. We'd love to learn about your experience and how we can improve if you're open to sharing more info. Thank you again!

Pros

- The Re:Coded values (care deeply, integrity, excellence, and collaboration) are lived every day by the team - Tons of autonomy and trust to do my work - Supportive and inspiring team members - We're challenging the status quo of what it means to be a nonprofit - Seeing the impact we have on students' lives (and how amazing they are as people) - Getting to build a ton of things from scratch and shape the team as we grow

Cons

- It's not necessarily a con, but if you don't like working on a remote team, it could be a challenge for you - We're building a ton of things from scratch, so it may not be the best fit if you thrive in routine and fixed processes.

Pros

First, full disclosure. I am one of the founders of Re:Coded. We founded Re:Coded on the belief that nonprofits can be more efficient, agile, and innovative. We strive to design policies and practices that put people first because they do the phenomenal work that makes Re:Coded a leading organization in the education and professional development sector. We live by our four values - Excellence, Integrity, Collaboration, and Care Deeply - and Re:Coded employees enjoy an extraordinary degree of autonomy and trust. We care about the output quality. How you go from A to B is up to you! We keep management and professional growth at the center of our work, continuously learning from the most innovative practices around the world, adapting our model when necessary, and giving employees the support and feedback they need to be their best at work. Re:Coded is an anti-fragile, distributed company. It means we have team members in different parts of the world with an equal voice on decisions and strategy. It also means we will systems and processes to be resilient, allowing our teams to grow and work synchronously and asynchronously online.

Cons

As a growing organization that is only 3 and a half years old, things may feel a bit messy sometimes. Everyone is expected to get their hands dirty and be proactive. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable or frustrating. But we never lose sight of our goal, which is to build a great organization to last. So whatever anxiety or confusion one may feel, it is only temporary as we remove painpoints.
