I have been working at Red Clay Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Red Clay is devoid of politics and focused on getting the job done. People are recognized for their contributions. We have a great culture full of exceptional people who constantly motivate you to work. There is a real effort to promote health, well being and work/life balance. There's a vast amount of opportunity for professional development through various training sessions offered throughout the year. If often feels like family as the company goes of out of their way to celebrate personal and professional milestones.

    Cons

As an organization, we have had our ups and downs but it is obvious that the management team is focused on making sure we understand what is going on by providing regular updates. Heavy travel is challenging and not for everyone.

I have been working at Red Clay Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fantastic benefits. Solid culture. Employees and management regularly schedule team building and social events, which are a lot of fun. The company goes out of its way to support the local community. Work is generally challenging and interesting. The company is steadily and consistently growing its core lines of business and expanding into new markets, which allows you to consistently pick up new skills.

    Cons

The only semi con is for increased transparency from upper management.

I have been working at Red Clay Consulting full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Payroll is always on time. Management actively encourages and participates in charity work. Communication between management and regular employees seems to be improving, at least from my perspective. The company as a whole puts a lot of effort into building a fun and productive workplace.

    Cons

Sometimes suggestions and advice from engineers is ignored/disregarded, resulting in a lot of wasted time, effort, and money. There has been a fair bit of pivoting, leaving some meaningful projects in an unfinished state.

"An SI company aspiring to be a boutique consulting firm"

I have been working at Red Clay Consulting full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

-->The product training is decent and other employees have been working with the Oracle suite long enough to fill in the gaps. -->Industry leader (in Oracle Utilities implementation work), so great networking options -->Management actually cares about your personal growth (good intentions, poor execution -- more on that below)

    Cons

-->The pay is horrendous. There's no two ways about it - I've been here about 5 years and only now make what my peers made out of college. Other benefits are also subpar - there is occasionally beer in the office and every 2 years or so an all-inclusive resort trip to Mexico for the weekend. But if the salaries are 20% lower than competitors, the healthcare is expensive and the 401k match unimpressive, these things mean very little. Please reconsider your salary structure - it hasn't kept up with inflation or industry norms since I've been here (or for anyone else at Red Clay except the people who have been here 7-15 years). --> There is a very heavy drinking culture. I love to drink but I often feel that management encourages binge drinking and all social events are centered around alcohol. If you don't drink at Red Clay, there are few opportunities to socialize (in 2020 we should have more options than a happy hour for our social events) -->Projects are staffed very unevenly - there is very little middle management, with lots of new hires and lots of experienced industry hires we poached and are paying very high contractor wages to. The full-time employees are overworked and overutilized in this model because of the contractor costs. This would be okay at any other consulting company, but at an SI, where the wages are abysmal, the quality of work cannot be exceptional if the wages are not.

I worked at Red Clay Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The Training is good, but its sink or swim after that. The group is eclectic and fun.

    Cons

Teamwork is a second thought. Pay is just not industry par. Sub par at best. Management and team leads have the knowledge, but they dont share often enough. The Upper management is very cliche and childish. HR is not a safe space.

I worked at Red Clay Consulting full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Excellent experience as a new employee with a GREAT training program - Everyone is friendly and welcoming - Nice office with numerous events

    Cons

    - Great pay if you working 40 hours, but not great when you working 50+ hours - Certain situations requires working at night and weekends - New Management does not know your history of handling employees - High turnover rate
