*Note: please use your judgment when reading these 5 star reviews. Many phrases are basically copied onto the pages of companies VERY similar to RRE all across the country*
Strike I: RRE will wax poetic about the limitless growth and income opportunities you'll have in this groundbreaking marketing/PR firm before they absolutely have to come clean about what they do in the second round interview- sell products from booths in various stores around the state. Not sure what’s so groundbreaking about that, but that’s fine…a little misleading based on the 15 job descriptions they post on various sites (spoiler: they are all for the same position) but there’s nothing wrong with the nature of the work.
Strike II: They guilt you into thinking that you need to sacrifice copious amounts of unpaid time to the business, that success comes from those who “put in the work”, etc. A select few may find some menial success, but their talents should be used in an environment that truly supports them.
Strike III (disclaimer: this is not verified information, and I do not claim it as truth): Whatever company is the brains behind Red Rock Events seems to have a great number of basically identical firms all over the country. I noticed that one job description for RRE used language intended for Gulf Coast Events, located in Houston, Texas. They clearly try to appeal to locals with their company names, wanting you to think that this is not part of a national-level organization. Google one of the job titles and see just how many of these places are all over the US...all echoing the same critiques.
There may be a slight possibility for success in this company if you’re an extroverted super-seller, but misleading information and smokescreen tactics seem to be pillars of their business model, and I just knew this wasn’t going to work out. They're endlessly hiring new "account managers" when there was only a team of three in the office...use your judgment and decide what's best for you and your career path.
