Pros

I have no pros to say about this company.

Cons

In the early days, I enjoyed my time here, the company felt financially stable, there wasn’t too much pressure and it felt like a nice working environment. However, it all started to change over the past year when I can only assume there was financial troubles. From then onwards, this company was built on mass redundancies every year, downsizing the team then building back up. During my time here I saw over 20 people leave either through being let go or leaving on their own accord. This is the highest staff turn over in any company I have worked for. It must also be said that there were multiple people that had to be written off work for poor mental health triggered by work place stress. Relevance is horribly toxic, senior members would turn on juniors to save their back, everyone is spoken to disgustingly, there is no gratitude and there is no hesitation for your own team members to take advantage of you. You are also extremely micromanaged and Relevance introduced extremely narrow and strict time constraints to produce any work, turning the company into a sweatshop. This stopped any form of creativity, put unnecessary pressure on staff and ultimately led to a poor standard of work that nobody could be proud of. Senior management and the shareholders and greedy and do not value their staff, they just view them as cash in their pockets. I was extremely let down here, after over two years of hard work for this company, they treated me abysmally up until my final day. I did not get one thank you or goodbye from any of them, even members of my own department… There is absolutely no culture here, no one goes into the office, they organise nothing social which is in line with their views that we are just their to work. Still to this day, long after I left, I am still hearing that senior management continue to slander me and to talk in a discriminatory manner to fellow colleagues. I am now in a really lovely new job who value their staff as people and highlights how immoral and toxic Relevance was.

Relevance (Monaco) Response

We are disappointed to read such a comment which does not represent the culture that Relevance has built over the past decade in business. While we cannot say with certainty who the former employee is, we do believe it has been made by a disgruntled employee who was unfortunately fired for bringing the agency into disrepute. Indeed, it is our opinion that many of the comments contained in this review are without any foundation and are indeed defamatory. While we are currently working with our legal team and Glassdoor to resolve this, we would in the meantime like to take a moment to address some of the comments: Relevance holds regular monthly and bi-monthly meetings which provide a positive forum for team members to discuss the projects they are working on, and to also share positive feedback. We hold yearly appraisals and conduct yearly anonymous surveys, both of which provide an opportunity for employees to air any grievances; and the senior management team actively review these and look at ways to address commonly recurring issues. Our UK arm operates a hybrid model with team members working from home and/or our London office. Our Monaco arm is based in the office. Both Monaco and the UK hold regular socials and attend training events as a global group. The London team also travel to Monaco for annual events. Relevance adopts a zero-tolerance stance on workplace abuse and toxicity. We also operate a flat management structure, and every team member, regardless of seniority, is valued. Our senior management and shareholders are always a simple call away and adopt an open-door policy. As an agency, we are proud of our staff retention – we have several members of staff who have been working with Relevance since its inception. While some staff, naturally, will move onto new opportunities, many continue to work in a freelance capacity with Relevance.

Pros

I really enjoyed my work at Relevance albeit short. Everyone was lovely and they have very exciting clients and prospects.

Cons

Things felt like they took a long time to complete the work and I’m too impatient to make a difference.

Pros

- Great roster of clients - this is the place to work for anyone wanting to work on a mix of luxury clients targeting UHNWIs - Lovely team members - everyone supports each other - Creative freedom and opportunities to feel part of Relevance's success, with SM team open to suggestions for better ways of working - WFH flexibility for UK team ensures a great work/life balance - Regular training workshops, opportunities to travel to Monaco and attend conferences such as brightonSEO

Cons

The workload can be high at times and it is always very busy - but this is agency life and part of its attraction - there's always a project to sink your teeth into!
