Rheem is a private company offering phenomenal benefits to its employees. Generous vacation time, sick time, and personal time, 11 paid holidays, low-cost medical, dental and vision benefits, tuition assistance program, employee assistance program, and many other generous perks. With regard to background checks, Rheem Manufacturing does not require 6 references from any candidate, only 3 professional references. The company does administer assessments and depending on the role the assessment will have varying levels. The only reason a W2 would be requested is if employment can't be verified in the normal manner. Rheem Manufacturing does conduct background checks and candidates are provided the option to give Rheem Manufacturing permission to contact their current and former employers. The company takes extra precautions to ensure candidate's privacy is protected. The amount of time for an interview depends on the role. Giving candidates the opportunity to meet with several members of their potential team allows them to make an informed decision on whether the position is a great fit for them. It is unfortunate that you found the process to be a burden. The company takes great pride in finding the best fit for the role and someone who is looking for a long-term career with the organization. The high retention rates within the organization are evidences that the process is certainly working!

Pros

Rheem pays extremely well for entry position

Cons

Rheem is a company that will cuts its nose off to spite it's face. The R&D staff is spread extremely thin, to the point if a handful of people quit the company would become crippled. Working with other departments is a uphill battle because everything is siloed with no accountability. Half of your time will be working with outdated processes. Rheem is outright atrocious at documentation, to the point where searching for a simple answer becomes a scavenger hunt. The hybrid schedule exist but management will schedule mandatory meetings on work from home days. Manufacturering equipment in montgomery is extremely outdated and they refuse to update it.

Pros

Healthcare Benefits are good but not for everyone

Cons

Management needs major improvement. Maybe they need to be taught what management is and what they are required to do and how to interact with their employees. They don't need to focus on themselves or favorites and try to make this place a constant social. It's not about you it's about your employees and how to do your job and not give yearly goals the week before there due. Setting people up for failure is what it is. Don't make promises you can't keep just to make employees feel they are important at the time management needs them to pull the weight and not get credit for doing the hard work and then not delivering in the many promises made to advance career. Talking about employees behind their back and involving coworkers in the conversation and gossip. Not good morale and hostile work environment.
