Pros

Solid cultural values that are evident across the entire company, that are fostered by senior management and HR. The company is open, inclusive and strives to be very transparent. Recent hiring has continued to add to an already very talented and dedicated group. Extensive hiring practices emphasize cultural fitment alongside talent, and it shows. RightHand Robotics' piece-picking technology is leading edge and competitive in a rapidly growing market of supply chain automation. Because of the company's relatively young stage, our growth and success as we scale. There is constant positive effort being made across the company to improve, streamline and standardize our product delivery which will position the company for scalable growth through 2022 and beyond. The company is small enough to feel like a startup, but big enough to have established foundational structures in HR, finance, brand/product marketing, etc.

Cons

The company is at a critical and exciting stage of building for growth where there are have been more business project opportunities than there are resources to support them. This is not necessarily a negative, but difficult strategic decisions are occasionally made to ensure every endeavor maintains a high standard of performance. There is no 401K match at this time.

Pros

- Working on of the state-of-the-art project that can have a very wide range of applications: reliably picking and placing arbitrary unknown objects. - The atmosphere is genuine and extraordinarily friendly: - People go the extra mile to help you on your project in true team spirit. Collaboration is an integral part of every sprint and is valued and acknowleged. - There are a lot of in-person or remote event to meet and hangout with co-workers (game night, happy hour, BBQs, journal club, outings, "random coffee"). - You can be yourself: I like talking about my toddlers, boardgames and nerdy stuff (with a lot of dad jokes), some of my coworkers about exotic food and places they've visited, other about gardening and their pets etc... and it creates a genuine, diverse and happy atmosphere that everyone seems to enjoy a lot. I've met quite a few RightHand "alumni" at our social events, so people really enjoy being there even after they've left the company ! - You are encouraged to develop your skills, roles and responsibilities: Your managed works with you to set short-term and mid-term development goals. - The orientation process is very well organized, especially for a startup: You quickly end up meeting everyone in the company and knowing what they do. It creates many opportunities for collaboration. - You can work from home, or come to the office, or choose a hybrid policy.

Cons

- It's still a startup, so no perks like 401k matching (yet). - [minor] At the moment, if you choose the hybrid work approach, you need to reserve a hot desk every day that you come to the office. This means that you can't leave stuff on or under your desk from one day to the next, which I like doing.

Pros

The best company I've worked for in my career thusfar. Lots of bright, smart people working together. A huge emphasis on leadership of a great work-life balance, fun outings, and working on fun and interesting problems.

Cons

Some of the work can be isolating due to the nature and location of workstations, but a relatively minor con.
