Pros

Do not work here under any circumstance. If you do make this choice....good luck!

Cons

Incredibly difficult manager and even more difficult owner. Very high turnover rate. The owner and manager do not see the value in hiring enough people for the workload to be sustainable. Toxic and hostile work environment created by management as well as ownership. Multiple comments were made about my personal life which were completely uncalled for and had nothing to do with my performance. Several rude and unprofessional jokes also made. I was ridiculed in several meetings even though others were allowed the same behavior. While the manager, as well as multiple other colleagues advised that they were uncomfortable by the behavior it was still tolerated.

Pros

None other than average coffee and snacks.

Cons

Work Environment: The work environment at this company has a toxic atmosphere. There is a sense of constant pressure and stress, with unrealistic expectations placed upon employees and a high turnover rate. The excessive workload often results in employees feeling overwhelmed and burned out. The lack of work-life balance leaves little time for personal growth and well-being outside of work. Management keeps failing to successfully staff the company, which leads to additional turnover. Management takes pride in their innovation initiatives and automation tools, but they don’t have the technical knowledge or willingness to implement or maintain them. A lot of time is spent on manual tasks that could be easily automated, or pretending to automate tasks that don’t need to be automated (such as email templates). Compensation and Overtime: One of the significant issues I observed is the lack of fair compensation and the amount of overtime expected from female employees. Despite the substantial additional hours invested, fair compensation is not easily provided. This disparity in compensation does not align with the industry standards and is a significant concern for many employees. The owner has seemingly established a "boys club" where his male producers are given prominence, while the female employees who support these producers in managing their accounts receive little to no acknowledgment or consideration. Management and Leadership: Management displays disrespectful and borderline racist and sexist behavior, which creates a hostile work environment. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also hinders diversity and inclusion within the workplace. The management style is often condescending, employees are frequently talked to as if they were children and made to feel undervalued and unappreciated. This negative approach significantly impacts morale and motivation. The micromanagement, disrespectful behavior, excessive workload, lack of industry and technical knowledge mixed with the regular frustration exhibited by management, has resulted in RiskPoint losing a significant portion of their staff in a short period of time, with management doing very little to address their failures. Promotions and Recognition: One of the most disheartening aspects of working at this company is the way promotions are handled. When I did manage to earn a promotion, I was belittled and made to feel as if I did not deserve it. This practice erodes confidence and discourages growth and advancement within the company. RiskPoint markets itself as an “awesome” place to work, that was not my experience at this company. I cannot recommend this company to prospective employees.
