Pros

Good place to gain knowledge of film and television lighting and grip equipment. Holiday break.

Cons

Promotion of sociopaths that undermine the value of a hardworking warehouse team. Management that has constantly changing demands, that is not open to employee feedback, employee questions, and some can buck their highly touted process while others are excoriated for it. Unequal disciplinary mechanism that is inconsistent, does not take into account circumstance i.e. disability/mental health, and is deployed to correct workplace issues in an unequal fashion that factors in favoritism over actual investigation that considers ethics. Regular teasing, bullying, and harassment props things mentioned. Low pay. Company will not issue references, as either a punishment or retention tactic or a management policy out of the 1980s. I could not get a straight answer on why they practice this. A structure that fragments like workers into different departments that ultimately wind up in competition rather than collaboration. This quality ties in to the favouritism mentioned before, and fosters a culture of backstabbing, that leads to paranoia, mistrust, and hand-wringing explanations as to why the existence if a horrible culture persists. There are many more bad things about this company, however, I think the qualities mentioned, give a good insight into how all of these negative attributes are interelated, and reflect a management culture that does not care about their frontline workers.
