Serious Problems with Sailthru

Pros

- Good benefits - Good commission structure - Lot of great people

Cons

- The management team is seriously inept. There are a few great people there in marketing, inside sales and solutions consulting but the rest are really bad at their jobs. - If you give any kind of negative criticism of the decisions made by these people you will be labeled negative and fired if it continues. It's a very much drink the Koolaid company. - No idea where they are going, the "vision" changes every 2-3 months. - Don't listen to their customers, they have lost deals and customers over parts of the product that they still refuse to change. - A very arrogant company believes it's better than the rest and refuses to see its own flaws. - Don't learn from their own mistakes. Therefore constantly putting out fires.

Pros

Great office location, flexibility to work from home and great people to work with

Cons

Overpriced products, inferior products, a lot of pressure from Senior management to close deals, which is fine as it's a sales role but at least invest in developing the products.

Pros

- The top focus for the company is customer satisfaction, which means leadership asks for feedback and trusts the voice of customer & prospect facing employees - Roadmap transparency and speed of product releases has increased this year (which makes sales roles easier!) - Truly believe Sailthru has standout functionality, which makes working hard to sell it easier to get behind - Great employee perks like a personal growth fund ($1500) to spend how you like, unlimited PTO, fully stocked kitchens, and team lunches - Employee development is a focus, including giving employees opportunities to move internationally or to different offices

Cons

- Crowded marketing tech landscape makes it difficult to differentiate Sailthru from others -- especially with buzzwords like "personalization" and "AI" used by all - Focus on growth and customer satisfaction means lots of internal analysis -- sometimes feels like too much process / management layers - Work/Life balance can occasionally be difficult to achieve - I would like more clarity on what else is available to me at Sailthru long-term, outside of a promotion in my role
