      Pros

      You can make decent money if you're a checkout.

      Cons

      Management are not team players. I would be punished and lose my good shifts if I had to take off, despite having the top sales... and I RARELY took off. They do not value their staff - front or back of house. Owner has no idea how to run a business.

      Salt Life Food Shack does not punish staff for taking time off. Everyone needs personal time and we understand that. We are sure that management was doing the job of properly rotating check out shifts among the staff. We're sorry to hear you took this as a personal attack and decided to write us a negative review as a result. With over 30 years of restaurant experience, it's far to say that the owner (owner's) do know how to run multiple restaurants and cares about every employee that works with us.

      The work atmosphere was very fun, all employees wanted to have fun together

      managers do not care about you, will fire you at slightest inconvenience

      We care about every employee that works for us. We do not fire employees for the "slightest inconvenience". Just like any other employer, we review all areas of concern if an employee needs to be terminated. Salt Life Food Shack is fair, understanding and we work with employees to ensure a good home/work balance.
