Pros

-> Get a free chair after confirmation -> higher basic salary -> Company paid lunch/dinner

Cons

All the other reviews are like rainbows and butterflies but seriously.. -> Demoralising culture Not sure if they think that this is to improve communication internally but if you make a mistake, whole department (seniors, teammates, other department colleagues) will know as it is being shared openly in their communication channel specifically mentioning your name, calling you out. Not ethical and professional. Need to have a tough character to handle “public shaming” culture. (Fyi - HR says this is verryyy normal here. Nothing wrong with this :) ) -> Business practices Not truthful/transparent to their consumers and even more so to their own employees -> Some departments have no respect and manners Words being used by certain employees are just downright rude and disrespectful. -> No structured training or proper guidance Everything was “just go read the manual on the site” But the manual isnt even updated. Mistake is then being made and I get penalised for it even though i followed as instructed. Have to be more independent and seek help from other people. But then it becomes annoyance to this people because they have too much on their plate. End up asking me to ask someone else. Everyone just fends for themselves. Workplace is pretty much setting you up for failure. -> Super stressful working environment This place really not for the faint hearted. Super mentally draining. I started the job very positive, high confidence and love what I do. After working here it makes me hate what I do and rethink my choices

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We appreciate and value your feedback as an employee. As a performance-driven organization achieving rocket growth, transparency and open feedback in our daily work interactions are highly valued and are integral parts of our culture. They keep us improving personally and as a team and, continuously enable the best ideas and outcomes. That being said, the manner that it is being conveyed should be done in a professional manner (ie, use of the right tone and language that drives constructive and actionable feedback). We understand that fast-growth and high-performance come with higher stress levels and expectations, but they also bring a myriad of opportunities for growth. We are committed to helping our employees adjust, challenge and better themselves and their careers. We would like to continue supporting you in this journey and would like you to reach out to your HoD (if you feel uncomfortable raising this with your manager and/or any of the HR representatives that you feel comfortable with). We are, and will continue to be here to help.

Pros

Staff benefits are definitely top notch.

Cons

I had a disappointing experience working in Secretlab. The management was inadequate, and employee’s concerns were often ignored. I’ve seen a lack of mediation in employee issues, which sometimes resulted in unfair terminations. The HR department was unprofessional and failed to maintain confidentiality, as whistleblowing incident got exposed. Some employee gets too much authority due to having a close relationship with management. Being involved in department employment matters and interviewing of new comers when employee is not of a certain ranking. Watching videos in office and OT to show that they are very hardworking. OT culture is very strong here because you’ll be deemed as lazy and a lousy employee if you do not OT. Salary / Increment matters were poorly handled, with managers blaming HR, and HR appearing clueless. Salary of colleagues was also very transparent across the favored employee. Additionally, some employees do receive special privileges, such as the ability to work from home whenever they pleased and excessive spending on meals with their close relationship with the upper management. Overall, my time at Secretlab was marred by these issues.

Pros

Well stocked pantry, free lunch everyday & free teatime snacks once or twice a week. Co-workers are generally nice people and theres almost zero office politics on the working level.

Cons

"Fast-tracked career" is questionable: 1) You get penalized when you don't hit your KPI because of interal strategic adjustments. 2) Your workload just keeps increasing and you don't get additional help as long as you / your work is not part of the company's bigger picture. Hiring process is a joke. I was part of the interviewing process to fill some of the positions within my team and this is how it turned out: Scenario 1: HR and I were against hiring the candidate but my immediate supervisor decided to just go ahead and offer the candidate because of his own unsound reasoning. This turned out to be more of a liability than an asset. Scenario 2: HR was never present in any of the interviews and apparently we settled not for the best candidate but just for a suitable candidate because we "had no budget". Why waste my time to be part of the screening process when my words doesn't matter at all?
