I'm sorry that Seedrs didn't live up to expectations and you had a negative experience here, it would be good to get some more in depth feedback around this so we can counteract this. Feedback from employees is always very positive and we are constantly working to benchmark our salaries and ensure our benefits package is competitive. Looking at the market comparisons we would like to think it is, but if there is anywhere we can specifically improve, please let us know on support@seedrs.com and address to the attention of the People Team. Thanks.

Pros

Really wonderful people, I have made some friends for life who I cherish dearly The work itself is interesting; you're embedded in the ecosphere of start-ups which makes the work fun, challenging and continuing to help push you You're given a lot of autonomy

Cons

The salary is very insulting. There is nothing more to say on this. It is way below market rate and waiting for things to change will leave you with zero pocket change. Even our competitors are paid more. Pay your people what they are worth. The M&A has not gone accordingly to plan. Seedrs is still Seedrs. The brand identity is all over the place and is not cohesive with the fact that we are now Republic. There is a lack of strategy delivered from top-down. Macro-economic conditions have, of course, affected fundraising across the board - but there was not enough dynamism taken on board by senior leadership to ensure the product could adapt to the times we are living in. The leader of my division had no foresight, strategy, communication or clarity on the future of the team. A lot of top-down pressure on mid-level management to deliver without any clarity on what we're delivering, why we're delivering it, and most importantly - how (in lieu of market condition drawbacks) No career progression - good luck getting to management level when you have no way of performing after unrealistic expectations have been set. - Very high turnover

Pros

- Strong team full of talented individuals who work extremely hard - Generally a nice environment (since dulled due to office move and company wide layoffs) - Exposure to Founders/C-level executives - Work with many different teams - Management team are former Investment Associates and therefore aware of pain points

Cons

- Extremely low pay (not competitive whatsoever leading to staff turnover) even with promotion to senior IA - Emotionally/physically draining - Long hours expected and not rewarded (especially during end of quarters) - Unattainable team targets (therefore bonus never gets reached which is demoralising for the team who work hard) - Tired market with investor activity being extremely low - Very slow progression path - Demoralised team with some considering leaving despite all members being passionate about the role
