Pros

Direct managers and teammates are wonderful to work with, but leadership and the ceo shift seems to have made everything unstable and messy.

Cons

Terrible place for growth opportunities, Seismic is more willing to hire new people at a higher rate than promote and show loyalty to long-term employees. There is constant change to internal processes often making work more difficult than it needs to be, high employee turnover. Everyone is unhappy with the company and the product, but the job market makes it difficult to leave.

Pros

Pros: The technical work is decent and there are some genuinely skilled people in the team. If you enjoy engineering challenges you will find the work engaging.

Cons

Cons: After several years in this industry I have worked under different leadership styles but this one stands out for the wrong reasons. Meetings are not a comfortable place to share ideas. When engineers speak up or suggest something the Site Lead often dismisses it or responds in a way that discourages further participation. Over time people just stop speaking up which is not healthy for any team. Employees who came in through partner organizations are treated noticeably differently from direct hires by the Site Lead. The lack of respect shown toward them affects the whole team dynamic. There is a clear disconnect between the Site Lead and how the engineering team actually works on the ground. Many of us work late evening shifts yet this is rarely acknowledged when decisions are made or expectations are set. Some employees that I know of approached the HR to share how our ideas have been ridiculed and how we feel humiliated for participation, the next day the India HR sends a strong warning and threat of disciplinary action regarding WFH policy etc., in open slack groups which also included folks that work night shifts… While we don’t have hope that site lead and HR lead would change their leadership style, hopefully the leaders in the US are reading this post and will take action, this sort of leadership in India will only increase attrition, affect branding, the quality of work.
