Heavy office politics. Managers steal your ideas, if they can't, they will find a way to get rid of you because you are threatening their positions since you are too smart. Common practice for Shapell to get rid of talented employees - push down to do lower priorities, no brainer works, telling you constantly that you are incapable to handle more complicated tasks, get you frustrated enough to look for jobs elsewhere.

Management is much to old, with old management styles from the 50's. Board of directors are clueless and have no leadership skills after Nathan Shapell (the founder & owner) passed. The company rarely promoted from within, always bringing in outsiders that would leave once they realized how awful the company was.
