I have been working at Shell full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Opportunity to rotate around many parts of the business
    - Salary/benefits are very good considering working hours

    Cons

    - Some of the projects can be a bit slow paced
    - Many recurring deliverables can sometimes be a bit dull

    Advice to Management

A lot of processes can be automated, would save a huge amount of time that could be spent on more important tasks.

Rubbish company don't care about the people pay not great and constant reorgs. Was so glad I got to leave for a smaller more ambitious company as part of an asset sale

    Advice to Management

People are the most valuable asset in any company. Your Shell logo does not make you a great company

I worked at Shell (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - An international organisation with the possibility to travel all across the world and in unusual locations.
    - Great teamwork with an understanding of flexible working, I had great support while finishing my studies or facing unexpected family commitments.
    - Excellent salary and benefits

    Cons

    - As a large organisation, it is undergoing frequent reorganizations which mean a regular change in roles and colleagues.
    - A slower than expected investment into renewables and more sustainable energy sources, although efforts are being made.

    Advice to Management

    - The succession of reorganizations overlapping across countries and functions undermine the ability for employees to work at their best while worrying if their team will be next.
